1897
Origins
The company originated with Raffaele Vagnoni, who in 1897 bought ownership of land with an attached house in the area of Ripatransone known as “le caniette” where he moved with his family.
The original property was joined over the years by other neighboring plots of land purchased with savings from labor.
Wine production is already an ongoing business that supports the family together with the fruits of the other activities.
In fact, Raffaele, in addition to agricultural production, carries on a promising business in the field of breeding stud bulls of the Marche breed.
1940s - 1960s
Vineyard Development
Upon the death of his father Raffaele, the leadership of the family business passed to his son Giovanni, who in the 1940s planted the first rows of vines on some of his land, overcoming the historical tree cultivation and focusing on winemaking as a production activity in its own right.
Winemaking became the company’s main activity with Raffaele Vagnoni, who in the 1960s gradually converted most of the land he inherited from his father Giovanni into vineyards, for a total of 9 hectares planted with vines out of 11 owned, and equipped the fledgling company with a structure suitable for the production and marketing of quality wines.
