Le Caniette Winery is located in the heart of the Marche wine region of Italy.<\/p>

This is a family-owned winery renowned for its production of high quality organic wines. The winery is committed to sustainability and environmental care, adopting farming practices that respect the natural ecosystem. <\/p>

Le Caniette is known for its promotion of native varieties, such as Pecorino, Montepulciano and Grenache, and its focus on quality rather than quantity. The vineyards are situated on terraces that offer breathtaking views, surrounded by vine-covered hills and mountains. <\/p>

LE CANIETTE Farm was officially founded with Raffaele Vagnoni, who starting in the 1960s began converting all the land he inherited from his father Giovanni into vineyards, turning the wine business into the family’s main source of livelihood.<\/p>

The first labels were introduced with Giovanni Vagnoni, who joined the company in the early 1990s and started a process of technological and entrepreneurial innovation, helping to make LE CANIETTE a well-known and appreciated brand both locally and internationally.<\/p>

Today the farm covers 20 hectares divided into several plots, including 16 hectares of vineyards, 1.5 hectares of olive groves and wooded areas.<\/p>

Situated adjacent and perpendicular to the sea, the vineyards benefit from several favorable elements that make them unique. The microclimate, which is Mediterranean in base, is influenced by the proximity of the Balkan area, while the soil is distinguished by its special conformation, consisting of sandy deposits and roof conglomerates dating back to the Lower Pleistocene. <\/p>

Attention to the naturalness of the products translates into running the entire farm according to the principles of certified organic farming, which is guaranteed on every bottle.<\/p>

The winery’s love for the territory, culture and food and wine traditions made it a natural step to join the Vini Piceni Consortium, which aspires to become a point of reference for regional and national oenology, but also for the enhancement of local heritage.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The company originated with Raffaele Vagnoni, who in 1897 bought ownership of land with an attached house in the area of Ripatransone known as “le caniette” where he moved with his family.<\/p>

The original property was joined over the years by other neighboring plots of land purchased with savings from labor.<\/p>

Wine production is already an ongoing business that supports the family together with the fruits of the other activities.<\/p>

In fact, Raffaele, in addition to agricultural production, carries on a promising business in the field of breeding stud bulls of the Marche breed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Upon the death of his father Raffaele, the leadership of the family business passed to his son Giovanni, who in the 1940s planted the first rows of vines on some of his land, overcoming the historical tree cultivation and focusing on winemaking as a production activity in its own right.<\/p>

Winemaking became the company’s main activity with Raffaele Vagnoni, who in the 1960s gradually converted most of the land he inherited from his father Giovanni into vineyards, for a total of 9 hectares planted with vines out of 11 owned, and equipped the fledgling company with a structure suitable for the production and marketing of quality wines.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In 1990, when his son Giovanni joined the staff permanently, the first bottles of Rosso Piceno under the LE CANIETTE<\/strong> brand name were produced and marketed, which, at the suggestion of Maestro Gianfranco Notargiacomo, Artist and Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, were named “Morellone” and “Rosso Bello.”<\/p>

In 2002, Raffaele passed the baton to his sons Giovanni and Luigino, who together lead the company until 2022, when Giovanni takes over sole management.<\/p>

The Estate expanded to its present 20 hectares, 16 of which are planted with vines.<\/p>

In 2007, the new facility was inaugurated to house the two barrel cellars and tasting room, inspired by a modern and functional design, open for public and private events such as exhibitions, conferences, corporate dinners and private celebrations.<\/p>
